Marceil Rickman Jones

Marceil Rickman Jones, 94, of Quitman, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Born in Enders, Ark. on January 5, 1918, she was a daughter to the late Guy and Ethel Powell Rickman. Mrs. Jones was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Before retirement she worked in several auto factories in Detroit, Mich. She had an unforgettable smile and loved everyone she met. She enjoyed quilting and arts and crafts. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church in Quitman. Also preceding her in death were her grandson, Jeff Jones and a sister, Marvelle Thomas. Those left to mourn her passing, are her sons: Harold and Charles Jones, both of Quitman; a sister, Ruby Crawford of Quitman; grandchildren: Carl Jones and wife Rhonda, Joyce Sawyer and husband Delbert, Gerald Jones and wife Barbara, Lisa Jones, Arna Wade and husband Neil; a special daughter-in-law, Linda Jones; eight great-grandchildren; seven great great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church, with Rev. Bennie Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
