Bernice Jeanette Fortin

Bernice Jeanette Fortin, 78, of Springdale, died Wednesday, January 25, 2011, at Ashley Health and Rehab in Rogers. She was born October 6, 1933, in Chicago, Ill., to the late Charles and Georgie Dunbar. She was a packing specialist with Armour Pharmaceuticals, retiring after 32 years. She was of the Catholic faith and a volunteer for Northwest Medical Center Thrift Store. She is survived by four children; Russell Fortin of Springdale, Lynn Rose and husband Wally of Houston, Texas, Bruce Fortin and wife Valida of Springdale and Dawn Sims of Elm Springs. She is also survived by grandchildren, Rachel Sims, Healena Sims, Brittany Fortin, Tina Harris and Jaime Collette and great-grandson, Daniel Sims. A private graveside service will be held at Mound Grove Cemetery in Kankakee, Illinois. Arrangements under the care and direction of Westfield Chapel Funeral Home.
