Martha Jane (Marjane) Malcolm Bullard, age 74, of Swifton passed away January 24, 2012 in St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro after a brief illness. Born June 12, 1937 in Sikeston, Missouri to Pleas and Virginia Malcolm. A graduate of Sikeston High School, Marjane received a BA degree in Education from Arkansas State College. She met Jan Bullard while at ASC and they married in 1963. Taught math in Arizona, New Mexico, Missouri, Arkansas, California, South Carolina, Georgia, Texas and Germany over a career spanning 30 years. Retired to Swifton, Arkansas and enjoyed taking graduate classes at ASU while living at the Bullard Family home with sister-in-law, Kay Owens. She greatly enjoyed the company and daily assistance of Marie Baker, her friend and helpmate, until the time of her passing. Preceded in death by husband, Jan Bullard, sister, Virginia Ann Malcolm, father, Pleas Malcolm, mother, Virginia Malcolm, and parent-in-laws, Dudley and Edith Bullard. Survived by sons, Mark Jackson (wife Ann Carder) and Randy Bullard (wife Nikki), granddaughter, Samantha Summers (husband Shane), brother, Allen Malcolm (wife Carolyn), sister-in-law, Kay Owens, brother-in-law, Sjon Bullard and a great many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and classmates. Services will be Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at 11am at Swifton Methodist Church. Local arrangements were entrusted to Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
