Shirley Lynn Spivey

Celebration of life service for Shirley Lynn Spivey will be held at Willow Point Baptist Church on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Dr. James Hill officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, January 27, 2012 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Interment will follow the service on Saturday at Hill Crest Memorial Park. She was a member of Life Way Baptist Church. Her hobbies included cooking, decorating, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her father William H. Long. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Robert T. Spivey Sr. of Little Rock, Ark.; son, Rob and Hilary and their four children of Benbrook, Texas, son, Jesse and Jennifer and their daughter of Clay Center, Kan.; daughter, Shelley and Allen Dewhurst and their three children of Shreveport, La.; son, Jeremy and Emily of Bennington, Kan.; mother, Lina L. Stiles of Plain Dealing, La.; three brothers, two sisters, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and family. Pallbearers will be B. Kieth Lauter, S. Anthony Spivey, Paul Spivey, G.T. Nehls, Chris Long and Ross Atherton. Memorials may be made to New Tribes Mission (Ned and Linn Beall). The family would like to extend a special thanks to family, friends, the Oncology team at UAMS and the team at Hospice Home Care of Little Rock.
