Dorris Lee Binnion, 82, of Little Rock, Ark. passed away peacefully on Jan. 27, 2012 in Houston, Texas. She was born Nov. 20, 1929, in Wynne, Ark. to the late Harry and Wilmuth Scott. Dorris was the youngest of two children. She married Bill Binnion Aug. 20, 1950. They had one child. She attended Arkansas State Teachers and graduated with a degree in education. She was a longtime resident of Little Rock, Ark. for 30 years. When she was younger, she coached women's sports and taught at Bishop High School in Bishop, Texas and also taught at Texas A&I University in Kingsville, Texas. Dorris was a longtime member of Trinity Methodist Church, Little Rock. She was the president of the Little Rock Razorback Club and loved her Razorback athletics. She loved traveling, canoeing, gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Dorris will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Scott Binnion and wife Sharon; her grandchildren, Chris Binnion and Jenni (Binnion) Leccese; great-grandchildren, Hailey Binnion, Lacey Binnion, Lily Binnion and Sophia Leccese; her brother, Harry Scott Jr. and wife Anna Jean Scott and children; her cousin, Barbara Warner and children; and half-brothers, Charles and Mike Scott. She is predeceased in death by husband Bill Binnion and mother and father, Wilmuth Scott and Harry Scott Sr. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation for Dorris from 6-8 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at the funeral home. Funeral will be 10 a.m., Tuesday in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Pinecrest Mausoleum, under the direction of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 501-661-9111.
