Jimmie Lee Robertson

Jimmie Lee Robertson, 85, of Vimy Ridge, Ark. died Jan. 26, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office. He joined the Navy at age 16 after Pearl Harbor. He received a Purple Heart and numerous other medals. Survivors are his wife, Elizabeth J. Robertson; daughter, Cynthia Kinsey; son, David Robertson; daughter, Carol Fowler; grandchildren, John Kinsey, Sean Kinsey, Sarah Robertson and Robert Modar. Funeral services will be at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30 with burial to follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Reverend Tom Williams of Indian Springs Baptist Church will officiate. Pallbearers are John Kinsey, Sean Kinsey, Robert Modar, Gary Hobby, James Thurston and Scott Price.
