Velvadean Demaris Davis

Velvadean Demaris Davis, 78, of Heber Springs went to be with the Lord Friday, Jan. 27, 2012. She was born May 4, 1933 to the late Olen and Nora Cates. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clyde Gray; a grandson, Marcus Gray; and a sister, Hilda Fortino. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Berberich; a son, Richard Gray and wife Sharon; her grandchildren, Loretta Hewitt, Chris Gray and wife Susan, Gena Bias and husband Jason; great-grandchildren, Anthony Gray, Christie Brewer, Caden Russell; great-great-grandchildren, Arianna Gray, Destiny Gray, Marcus Brewer; sister, Ola Sandavol and brothers, Melton and Norman Cates; numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 at the Heber Springs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012 in the chapel of Heber Springs Funeral Home, with interment following the services at Center Point Cemetery in Quitman.
