Robert Tyray Jimmerson Sr., 69, of Pine Bluff was born December 16, 1942 in Forrest City. To the late Rev. Louis and Amanda Jimmerson, went, to be with the Lord on January 25, 2012. He was a member of Barraque Street Missionary Baptist Church for 37 years served as trustee, Sunday School teacher, member of male chorus and drama department. He retired from Cotton/Union Pacific railroad Dec. 6, 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Rev. Neely Vance. Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Lou Jimmerson; and two sons, Dr. Robert Tyray (Diane) Jimmerson and Domingo Tyvon (Symphany) Jimmerson of North Little Rock. He is known as PaPa J to his two granddaughters, Kayla and Kandace and he was awaiting the arrival of his first grandson, Damarius Rodney Jimmerson to be born February 23, 2O12. Robert is also survived by his eight siblings, five sisters: Lillian Brown-Hall, Brenda (Harold) Brown, Dr. Ellen (Claude) Eddings of Little Rock, Willette Jimmerson-Jeffers and Glenn (Walter) Camper of Brinkley and three brothers: Henry (Louise) Jimmerson of Pine Bluff, Alfonzo Jimmerson of Brinkley and Tommy (Angelia) Jimmerson of Jacksonville and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Barraque Street Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 at Barraque Street Baptist Church, 1800 West Pullen Street, Pine Bluff, by Rev. Lloyd A. Holcomb Jr. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Section of Graceland Cemetery by Brown Funeral Horne of Pine Bluff. The family will be at 509 Springhill Drive, Pine Bluff. The body will lie in state on Wednesday at the church from 10:15 a.m. till time of service. Special Thanks to Dr. McClure at JRMC, Dr. Solomon Mogbo, Dr. Moses Kelly and Baptist Hospital ICU Little Rock. Nurses, Ron Williams, Whitney Bishop, Emily Taylor and Clay Young.
