Emma Jean "Doodle" Richter

Emma Jean "Doodle" Richter, age 90, of Gillett died May 7, 2012. She was born February 14, 1922 in Gillett to Leonard Richmond and Beulah Rosella Chadwick Wallace. As a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church she belonged to the St. Paul Covermakers.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmer Richter; brothers: Wilbur, Orville, Dick, Bud, Charles and Myron Wallace; sisters: Josie Gordon and Rene Beverburg. Survivors include her children: Danny Richter of Gillett, Marla Wallace (Bill) of Cabot, Kathy Ellenburg of Gillett, brother, Justin Wallace (Betty), sister, Lizzie Hesser both of Gillett, sister-in-law, Gertrude Rogers of DeWitt; grandchildren: Jeremy Ellenburg (Donna), Jason Ellenburg (Nicole), Chase Wallace all of Gillett; great-grandchildren: Bethany Brickey of Gillett, Ashley Sloate of DeWitt, Hunter and Emma Ellenburg of Gillett and one great-great-grandchild, Carsyn Coley of Gillett. Services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 9th, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with burial at St. Paul's Cemetery by Essex Funeral Home of DeWitt.
