Delma Kate (White) Watson

Delma Kate (White) Watson, age 87, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas, wife of Rev. Ellsworth Watson, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, at St. Vincent Medical Center in Sherwood. Born in Antioch, Arkansas, in White County on December 14, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Carl Benjamin and Fannie Mae (Pruitt) White. Mrs. Watson had attended business college and worked as a secretary and in accounting. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Watson played the piano at church services and also taught piano students for many years. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Ellsworth Watson; three daughters, Karen Witt of Cabot, Gloria Bridges of Paragould, and Judy Foley of Ft. Smith; her sister-in-law, Thorvle Pickard of California; six grandchildren, Michael Bridges, Jason Shaffer, Kenneth Witt, Jerrod Shaffer, Michelle Dove, and Alyssa Foley; and many special great-grandchildren. Mrs. Watson is also survived by other relatives and her many friends. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, May 11, at the Holiday Hills United Methodist Church at Greers Ferry with funeral services at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Dan Brand. Interment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery at Antioch in White County. Jason Shaffer, Jerrod Shaffer, Kenneth Witt, Joseph Dove, Bryce Pruitt, and Michael Bridges will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Don White, Sam White, Bill White, Charlie White, and Richard White. Memorials may be made to Holiday Hills United Methodist Church, Greers Ferry, Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, Cabot, or Antioch Cemetery Fund, in care of Joe T.
