Syphronia "Sophia" Hildreth, 70, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 with her daughters by her side. She was born January 20, 1942 in Grady, Arkansas to the late Amos and Mary Lee Smith (Harris) and was a member of the Hot Springs East Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Sophia was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Hildreth; and sons Henry Armstead and Michael Peoples. She is survived by her sons Eric Peoples and Otis Hildreth, daughters Bella Peoples-Woodson (Logan), Zenobia Peoples-Harley (Sherrill), Bonita Townsend; brothers Jessie Lee Harris, Amos Harris (Helen), Marvin Harris (Joann), Edward Harris (Sandra), Steve Harris (Diane), Samuel D. Harris (Jackie) and Sampson Harris (Michelle); sisters Cleola McCroy, Lovell Cole, Albertha Jordan (Edward), Melissa Neal, Emma Pruitt (Ezell), and Mary Jane Jordan; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. Service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Brother Clemon White officiating.
