GRADY ANTHONY, 69, of Little Rock departed this life May 9, 2012. Grady lived a long and full life as a father and civil servant to his beloved community. Whether he was fishing, traveling, watching football, or charming on-lookers with his smile and laugh that would travel from his lips to your heart, Grady was known by all as a man who could have a good time, anytime. Undoubtedly, one of his greatest passions was the pursuit of justice and racial equality for Little Rock policemen. Grady (along with seven other "men of the beat") founded Little Rock's first Black Policeman's Association, an organization that still exists today. His life and dedication have and always will serve as an inspiration for those who called him: "Sarg," "Bull," friend, uncle, brother, or just "Daddy." Grady was preceded in death by his wife, DeLois Anthony; father, Perry Anthony; mother, Edith Anthony; brothers, Herdith, Perry Jr., and William Anthony; sisters, Ophelia Foster and Hazel Reed. He leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Monica Anthony (Tyrone), Tiffany Anthony (Clint), Tammi Anthony and Tamara Anthony; siblings, Benjamin Anthony of Little Rock, Robert Anthony of Dallas, Texas, Betty Murchison of Little Rock, Lillie Nimmer of Little Rock, Barbara Box of Rockford, Ill.; two grandchildren, Ricquan Allen Jones and Amori D. O'Ryan Anthony; a host of loving and devoted family and friends. Family hour: 6-7 p.m. Monday at Robinson Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Longley Baptist Church. Services entrusted to Robinson Mortuary, 1201 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Little Rock (501) 371-0111. Sign online guestbook at www.robinsonmortuary.com. "Service You Can Trust"
