Lawrence Okere

Dr. LAWRENCE N. OKERE, 55 of Little Rock transitioned May 10, 2012. Survived by his wife, Caroline; two daughters, Thelma and Michelle; one granddaughter; four sisters; one brother and a host of other relatives and friends. He was a professor of political science at UAPB. Dr. Okere was also a well-known researcher and community activists. He served as the President of Arkansas Political Science Association and many other academic and civic associations. He was a respected mentor and leader in the African community especially in Arkansas and served as president of several Nigerian associations.
