Mel Dunkle

Mel Dunkle, 80, of Searcy, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. He was born June 21, 1931 in Lincoln, Neb. to the late Cecil and Lena Mason Dunkle. Mel was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Searcy; past member of Rotary and Shrine's. He was an Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. His son, Scott Allen Dunkle and one brother, Mason Arthur Dunkle precedes him in death. Survivors include his wife, Carol Wrightsman Dunkle; two daughters, Layne Marie Rogers (Tim) of Vine Grove, Ky.; Dawn Newman (Philip Bertrand, deceased) of Kensett; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
