Annie McDaniel Dodson

Annie McDaniel Dodson, age 96, of Perryville, Arkansas, went home to our Lord, on May 12, 2012. Miss Annie, as she was affectionately called, was born in Dardenelle, Arkansas on October 1, 1915 to the late Andrew and Cora Sechrest Sneed of Nimrod, Arkansas. Mrs. Dodson was preceded in death by her husbands, Fay E. McDaniel and Paul Dodson; and a son, Billy Dean McDaniel. She was a homemaker and took great joy in taking care of her children and grandchildren. She operated the locally renowned "Mc's Dairy Bar" with her husband, Fay McDaniel, for 14 years. She spent the following years working for Levi Straus, the Arkansas State Hospital, and the Presbyterian Village Nursing Home. She was an active member of the Perryville Senior Adult Center. Survivors include two sons and one daughter- Farrell McDaniel and wife Geraldine of Allen, Texas; Carroll McDaniel and wife Madge of Southlake, Texas; Donna McDaniel Carella and husband John of Conway, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2012 at Harris Funeral Home in Perryville, Arkansas. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Nimrod Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Perryville.
