Norma Reeves

Norma Jean Jones Sharpnack Reeves, 76, of Pine Bluff, passed Monday, May 14, 2012. Born April 5, 1936 Pine Bluff, she was the daughter of the late George and Thelma Jones. Living a life of service to others, Norma worked more than a decade in food service, and retired in 1992 as secretary at Arkansas Children's Hospital. She served as President of Whispering Knoll chapter of Pine Bluff Gardening Club as well as President of the Resident Council. Norma was preceded in death by two husbands, Thomas Sharpnack, and George Reeves; sons, Raymond William Sharpnack, and Samuel Echols; sister, Marilyn Whitehurst. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Foote and Patricia Histed; sister, Carol Linderman; brothers, Billy, George, Raymond, and David Jones; three grandchildren, Brandy, Dianna, and Jenna; six great-grandchildren, and many other loving family and friends. The family will hold a memorial service Thursday, 10 a.m. at Whispering Knoll Assisted Living, 6812 S. Hazel St., Pine Bluff, Ark. 71603.
