Eva Henderson Huitt Thornton of Hot Springs and Little Rock, passed away on May 16, 2012. She was born on August 17, 1923 to Bud and Fannie Henderson in Pangburn, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Veta Gordon, husbands Max Huitt and Travis Thornton, son Rick Huitt and granddaughter Tracy Huitt. She is survived by daughter, Lorita and husband Mike Brock of Hot Springs; stepdaughter, MaryAnn and husband J.V. McKinney of North Little Rock; daughter-in-law, Barbara Huitt of Cabot; granddaughter, Lisa and husband Eddie Tankersley of Cabot; granddaughter, Jessica and husband Mike Pitts of Hot Springs; grandson, Max Brock of Hot Springs; step-grandsons, Blake McKinney and wife Gayla of Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Bryan McKinney and wife Leigh Anne of Arkadelphia; nine great-grandchildren: Dalton and Hannah Pitts, Colton and Harley Tankersley, Colson and Mason McKinney, Justin, Caleb and Sarah McKinney. Eva was also survived by several nieces, nephews, and good friends. She was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church and a previous long-time member of Second Baptist Church in Little Rock. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2012, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I-30, Little Rock, Arkansas, (501) 455-5800. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, following the visitation at the funeral home, with Dr. Ray Higgins and Dr. James Thomason officiating. Pallbearers will be Max Brock, Mike Pitts, Eddie Bugg, Brady Bugg, Eddie Tankersley, Colton Tankersley and Dalton Pitts. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
