Loretto Bonner Cochran

Loretto Bonner Cochran, who was born September 11, 1924 in Hydro, Oklahoma to Joseph and Mary Agnes Bostick, passed away on May 16, 2012 at the age of 87. She was a graduate of Central State College, Edmond, Oklahoma; University of Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma; and the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Her career as teacher, counselor, and administrator covered a span of 37 years in four states. She has lived in Kerrville since 1995. She served as vice-president of the Board of Directors of the Raphael Community Free Clinic. For many years, she worked on public policy for the National Alzheimer's Association's causes in Texas. She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church and belonged to the Women of Notre Dame and the ACTS community. Mrs. Cochran was preceded in death by her first husband, Milton Bonner, in 1996 and son, Jeff Bonner in 2006. Current survivors include her husband, Donald E. Cochran; son, Steven John Bonner, Hot Springs, Arkansas; grandson, Sean Bonner; granddaughters, Rose Bonner and Kara Young; great-grandchildren, Elysa Bonner, Bryce Cummings, Rylie Young and Hope Elizabeth Bonner; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 20, 2012, 4-6 p.m. at Humphrey Funeral Services in Russellville, Ark. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 21, 2012, 11 a.m. at Nixon Cemetery in Charleston, Ark. by Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville, Ark.
