Laree Rhoads Bland

Laree Rhoads Bland, age 88, of Morrilton passed away Friday, May 18, 2012. She was born Aug. 12, 1923 in Cleveland, a daughter of Thomas Edward and Mattie Mason Rhoads. She was a retired educator, social worker, homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Morrilton. Survivors include her grandson, Cody T. Hill of Morrilton; son-in-law, Fred E. Hill Jr. of Morrilton; brother, James. A. Rhoads of New Orleans, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Geraldine Massey; husband, Jack W. Bland and daughter Beverly Bland Hill. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 at the Harris Chapel in Morrilton with Rev. Todd-Paul Taulbee officiating. Burial will be at Old Liberty Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
