Michael Elton

Michael Elton, 36, of Crossett, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Mr. Elton was a native and lifelong resident of Crossett. He graduated from Fountain Hill High School in 1994 and he was a member of the Second Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved to make people laugh. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Vesper & Charlotte Haynes and Maurice & Inez Elton. He is survived by his wife, Rebekah Ann Pennington Elton; a step-son, Tristan King; a step-daughter, Krystan King all of Crossett; his parents, Rev. Bill & Carolyn Haynes Elton of Fountain Hill; his sister, Ashley Elton Lay and fiance', Kevin Barfield, and a nephew, Regan Lay all of Snyder. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Hamburg with Rev. Rick Pyron officiating. Burial will be in the Crossroad Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kevin Cessor, Ronnie Day, Caleb Martin, Matt Townley, Tracey Graham, Scott Stephenson, and Alan McCone. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Barfield, Jesse Lochala, Damon Moyers and Brandon Woods.
