Vivian Merriott Anderson, 82, of Little Rock, Ark. passed away peacefully at her home, Thursday May 17, 2012. She was born February 23, 1930 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Jefferson D. Merriott and Vicie "Bo" Connor. Her hobbies included crossword puzzles, watching old musicals, reading mystery books, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. She was a member of Oak Park Baptist Church, Little Rock, Ark. Her working career started at Sterns Hardware in Hot Springs, Ark., and then continued at ARMCO Steel in Houston, Texas. After many years she retired from Anderson Engineering, a company she built together with her husband and son. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her loving and devoted husband Edward K. "Andy" Anderson. She is survived by her son, Scott W. Anderson, and his wife Kathleen A., of Little Rock, Ark.; two grandchildren, Amanda M. Anderson, attending UCA in Conway, Ark. and Patrick K. Anderson, attending the U of A in Fayetteville, Ark. Special thanks is given to two very special people, Frankie Nunn and Bridgit Nunn, who took such wonderful care of her for over nine years, allowing her to live out her life at home. Visitation will be at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, Ark. from 6-7 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home Wednesday morning, May 23, 2012 at 10 a.m. with a private graveside to follow.
