John C. Vick

John Carroll Vick (86), of Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at McClellan VA Hospital. He was a resident of the Arkansas Department of Veteran Affairs Veterans Home in Little Rock. He was born in Dallas, Texas February 17, 1926 and preceded in death by his parents Harry Stanislaus Vick, Sr. and Amanda J. Smith Vick and Brothers Harry S. Vick, Jr. and Donn J. Vick Sr. He grew up in Little Rock, and graduated from Catholic High, class of 1944, leaving the night of graduation for the US Navy. Johnny served aboard LST's 904 and 1060 participating in the South Pacific campaign. John attended Good Council Church most of his life and was devoted to his Catholic faith. He is survived by a sister, Barbara Anne Vick Harris (Bill), three nephews, Bill Stover (Jo Ellen), Jim Stover (Connie) and Joe Vick (Vicki) and two nieces, Vicki Stover Hedstrom and Donna Vick McCarty (John). A special thanks to the caring staff at the McClellan MICU unit and the Veterans Home.
