Jacquelyne Birdwell "Jackie" Quinn, 74, of Hot Springs died Monday, May 21, 2012. Born on February 26, 1938, in Shreveport, LA to the late Dr. Jack Birdwell and Alleyne Dean Birdwell, she was reared and received her early education in Shreveport, graduating from Byrd High School. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in 1959. Jackie married Ben Raymond Quinn in Shreveport November 28, 1959 and moved to Pine Bluff. She was a partner in Ben Quinn, General Contractor. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Pine Bluff, where she served as Evangelism Coordinator and, for fifteen years, as Administrative Assistant. After moving to Hot Springs, she became an active member and Elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She served 15 years as a board member of Evergreen Ministries in Louisiana. Survivors include her husband, Ben Raymond Quinn of Hot Springs; son, Ben Raymond "Ray" Quinn Jr. of Conway, Ark.; daughter, Julia Kimberley "Kim" Nunley of Sabinal, Texas; sister, Naomi McDonald of Fort Worth, Texas; and three granddaughters, Sarah Nunley, Caroline Nunley, and Grace Quinn. Graveside services are Thursday, May 24, 2 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Rison, Arkansas, directed by Ralph Robinson & Son of Pine Bluff. Friends of the Quinns will host a reception Thursday following the graveside at First Presbyterian Church, Pine Bluff, at 4 p.m. A memorial service is Friday, May 25, 11 a.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs.
