Alvin M. "Pete" Wilson, age 87, of Benton died Wednesday May 23, 2012. He was born March 18, 1925 in Higginson, Arkansas. He was retired from Alcoa and a member of North Forth Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kattie Minyard Wilson, parents, Johnny B. and Cora Wilson, brother, J.B. "Junior" Wilson. Survivors, wife, Willie Jeff Wilson, sons, Johnie O. Wilson and wife, Jean, Eddie Wilson and wife, Melody, daughters, Donna Darter and husband, Rob, Leoda Mullins and husband, Ronnie, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, all of Benton, brother, Jack Wilson of Benton, sister, Ruby Poole of Higginson, step children, Sandy McDonald, Jeffrey Rickard, Marty Rickard, Joey Rickard, Ritchie Rickard all of Benton and nine step grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Alvin Wilson, John Wilson, Jarret Rickard, Josh Halpain, Andrew Rickard and Shawn Lawhon. Alternates will be Joey Rickard and David Minyard. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the DRW Hunting Club. Chapel Services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m,. Saturday with Rev. Don McCutcheon officiating. Eulogy by Glendle Minyard. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Ashbys, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Family comments: He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved farming and raising a garden.
