Ethel Grace Burgess

Ethel Grace (Boyles) Burgess was born March 25, 1931 to Peter W. and Elva Bradford Boyles in Lonoke, Ark., and passed away on May 26, 2012 in Hot Springs, Ark. Mrs. Burgess was a retired school teacher who graduated from Lonoke High School and Arkansas State Teachers College. She taught for over 33 years. She was a member of the Westside Church of Christ in Searcy, a member of the Searcy Garden Club, and the White County Ladies Extension Group and had lived for the past year in Hot Springs, Ark., to be near family. Mrs. Burgess is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years, Thurman Terry Burgess, two brothers, Harvey Bradford, Peter Boyles, and a sister Elva Pruitt. She is survived by two sons, Thomas Terry Burgess of MaKati, Philippines, Richard Keith Burgess (Cindy) of Golden, Colo., two daughters, Mary Grace Knight (Ronald) of Hot Springs, Ark., Sharon Burgess Summers (Richard) of Conowingo, Md., eight grandchildren, Saylor Burgess, Connor Burgess, Katherine Summers, Allison Summers, Jennifer Summers, Heather Knight, Jason Knight, Michelle Golembiewski (Kevin), four great-grandchildren, Gwenyth, Cora, and Ruby Golembiewski, Hunter Knight, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Ark. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with interment in the White County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, family request donations to the Sunshine School in Searcy, Ark.
