DAN SHERWOOD MORGAN, 75, of Maumelle, passed away Aug. 30, 2012. Born March 24, 1937 in Carlisle to John Robert and Dovie Loyce Stricklin Morgan, he was a member of Lifeway Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He retired from the Arkansas Highway Department after 40 years of service and from the Arkansas Air National Guard after 31 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Deloris "Dee" Hendricks Morgan; son, Brooks S. Morgan (Missy) of Sherwood; brothers, John Robert Morgan (Peggy) of Little Rock and Paul Morgan (Jan) of Searcy; sisters, Frances Bone of Monticello, Joyce Underwood (Ronnie) of Little Rock and Pati Guess (Bob) of Sherwood; granddaughters, Taylor Morgan (Keegan Engles) of Sherwood and Bailey Dennis (Zachary) of North Little Rock; great-grandchildren, Blaize Engles, Asher Engles and Elliotte Engles, all of Sherwood, and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Graveside services with Military Honors will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, officiated by Rev. Willard Zeiser and Rev. Ben Rowell.
