Lynnette Birch Glosup

Lynnette Birch Glosup, 99, of McGehee passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 in Springdale, Ark. She was born Dec. 21, 1912 near Tillar, Ark., the oldest of seven children of Hiram Calvin and Lula Barrett Birch. She was a graduate of Tillar High School. Lynnette was married to the late Harold Glosup and they had three sons, Harold Lynn and wife Louellen of Fayetteville, Ark., John David, who is deceased and Donald Stephen of Ashville, N.C. Lynnette has seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Harold and Lynnette raised their family in the Chickasaw Community near McGehee and they were charter members of the Chickasaw Baptist Church. They later were in business on Highway 10 at West Little Rock where they were members of the Westside Baptist Church. Lynnette was a devout servant of God and strived to help others all of her life. She loved her family and loved to tell stories of the Birch family and the Glosup family as well. She was well thought of by all who knew her. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012 at Tillar Cemetery in Tillar, Ark. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee.
