Irene May Womble

Irene May Womble, 94, of Conway, passed away Sept. 2, 2012. Born in Pike City, Ark. on May 2, 1918 to the late B.L. and Ola May. She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Womble; sister, Geraldine Peel; and brother, John B. May. She is survived by sister LaVell Powell of Paris, Texas, daughter Rebecca Knott, son-in-law Michael Knott both of Conway, daughter Dianne Marcrum, son-in-law Virgil Marcrum both of Republic, Mo., son Christopher W. Womble of Conway, ten grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander by Griffin Leggett Conway, with a Celebration of Life in Little Rock following. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Arkansas Rice Depot, 3801 West 65th St., Little Rock, Ark. 72209.
