Larry Leroy Colvert, Sr. age 70, of Springdale, formerly of Jacksonville, went to be with his Lord on Monday, September 3, 2012. He was born February 18, 1942 in Little Rock to the late Herbert and Theola Colvert. Mr. Colvert was a retired fireman for the Jacksonville Fire Department, director of the Jacksonville Boy's Club, president of the Softball Association at Dupree Park, and owner of Larry's Chimney Sweep. Mr. Colvert was a faithful member of Landmark Baptist Church in Jacksonville, and loved fishing, watching his grandchildren play ball, and grow up. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Herbert Colvert. He is survived by his loving wife, Daisy Colvert, his son, Larry L. Colvert, II, daughter Kim Edwards and her husband Brian, one brother, Frank Colvert, and four grandchildren; Brittnee Colvert, Hunter Allen, Jake Allen, Ally Allen, and two step-grandchildren; Ethan and Elijah Edwards. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2012 at Landmark Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Bro. Tim Carter and Bro. Baxter officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
