Dessie Rickman Leathers

Dessie Rickman Leathers, 80, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012. She was born in Paragould, Arkansas on October 9, 1931 to Tom and Mildred Rickman. Dessie loved to travel and raise her children. She worked as a day care assistant for over 25 years. Dessie was a member of Lifeline Baptist Church. Dessie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, James Rickman and Tom Rickman Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years James Leathers, three children; Tim (Dolores) Leathers, Keith (Toni) Leathers and Kraig (Donna) Leathers, she also leaves three grandchildren; James (JT) Leathers, Kerri Leathers and Emily Leathers. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 8, 2012 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 N., Alexander, Arkansas with Brother Jeff Dial officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. The family will receive guests Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home.
