Gary Ray Jackson

Our precious husband, Dad, gramps, brother, uncle and friend went to Heaven on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012. GARY RAY JACKSON, was born in Jefferson City, Mo., on Sept. 14, 1943 to Walter Ray Jackson and Juanita McNabb Jackson. He graduated from Pocahontas High School and joined the Navy. He returned to marry the love of his life, Linda Dutton, whom he met in Illinois many years earlier. It was then in 1955, their love story began and three girls later, they ended up in Little Rock, where they lived for 29 years. For 18 years, he was a retail buyer for Sterling Stores/Magic Mart. After his tenure with Sterling Stores, he ventured out on his own and started a furniture business. For the past 29 years he was ACTION JACKSON. He had a heart of gold, never met a stranger and was always willing to offer a helping hand. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grand-daughter, Taylore' Hall. He is survived by his wife, Linda Jackson; daughters, Mallory Jackson, Kelly (David) Fraiser, Casey (Mike) Tucker; grandchildren, Jacob Hall, Parker and Garrett Fraiser, Jackson and Haylin Tucker; and sister, Gail (Terrill) Luter; special cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends that held his hand to the end. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, 6-8 p.m., at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111 with funeral services at The Church at Rock Creek, 11500 W. 36th Street, Little Rock, on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood.
