The REV. GEORGE GALE MORGAN, 81, of Little Rock, passed away Sept. 6, 2012. Born in Buffalo, N.Y. to William George and Mary Kate Ledbetter Morgan, he was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. The Rev. Morgan was the priest in charge of St. Cyprian's Church in Pensacola and St. Francis of Assisi Church in Gulf Breeze, Florida for the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast of Florida. He was a member of the Ministerial Alliance and the Power Squadron in Pensacola, Florida, member of the Optimist Club, a volunteer with the Little Rock Police Department and a Chaplain for Covenant Hospice in Pensacola. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Ellen Hosking, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jan Wallace Morgan; sons, William George Morgan II (DeeAnn) of Benton, Dr. Richard L. Morgan (Tammy) of Russellville and Steven H. Morgan (Sandy) of Little Rock; grandchildren, Hannah A. Morgan, Baylee N. Morgan and Ashlee T. Morgan, all of Russellville, Wesley A. Morgan of Little Rock and Will A. Morgan of Benton; and a host of relatives and friends. Services with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, officiated by The Rev. Danny Schieffler, followed by interment in St. Mark's Columbarium.
