Wayne Smart

Wayne Smart, 70, of Jacksonville died Sunday, September 9, 2012. He was born October 18, 1941 in Little Rock to the late Oscar Roosevelt Smart and Mary Jewel Hepinstall Smart. Mr. Smart served the city of Jacksonville for 30 years as a Firefighter and retired in 1995. He also was a part time bricklayer and a full time Razorback fan. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved his dogs. In addition to his parents, Mr. Smart was preceded in death by a son, David Smart; two brothers, Franklin Smart and Wilbur Smart; and two sisters, June Thompson and Sharon Lee. Mr. Smart is survived by his wife, Patsy Phillips Smart; his son, Scott Smart and his wife, Shannon; two brothers, Jerry and Rodney Smart; and one sister, Sheila Childs. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Morgan Pack and her husband, Jake, Sydney Smart, Kyndall Smart and Mallory Smart as well as a great-grandchild, Paisley Lilyann Pack. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park under the direction of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136.
