Maysel Irene Keen

Maysel Irene Keen, age 91, of Crossett, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was born on September 22, 1920 to Seth and Georgia Lee Strickland Chambers. Mrs. Keen was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church and retired as a cook from Crossett Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith Keen; one sister, Phenton Lane and five brothers, Kenneth, Lamar, Gene, Garland and Joe Chambers. Survivors include three sons, Bobby Keen (Betty), Ted Keen (Theresa) both of Crossett, Ark., Bill Keen (Kerry) of Little Rock, Ark.; two daughters, Karen Craig (Jim) and Vela Griffis (Floyd) both of Crossett, Ark.; one sister, Floy Lee Anderson of Tulsa, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Magnolia Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. (www.jonesservice.com). Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Magnolia Baptist Church.
