Carmeletta (Pat) Fleming, 91, went home to be with the Lord, September 12, 2012 at Arkansas Hospice Inpatient Facility at St Vincent's Infirmary. She was born March 21, 1921 in Brinkley, Ark., the youngest of four children of Charles and Willie Patterson. She was predeceased by her parents, siblings, and a granddaughter, Hannah Fleming. She is survived by her husband, the love of her life for the past 70 years, David Fleming. She is also survived by her children Diane (Jim) Blankenship of Pittsburgh, Texas and Paul (Ginger) Fleming of Little Rock; five grandchildren, Linda Blankenship, Jamie (Greg) Heubner, Grant, Davis and Ashley Fleming; three great-grandchildren Lindsey (Jake) Angell, Casey (Jon) Fausset and Josh Huebner; two great-great grandchildren Madison and Gavin Angell. Pat grew up on a farm in Brinkley and graduated from Brinkley High School as Class Valedictorian. She later moved to Little Rock to attend Draughn's Business School. While living in Little Rock she met David and they were married November 20, 1941. For many years she was a wife and homemaker but worked outside the home for several years at Peoples Savings and Loan Association. As long as her health allowed, she was an active member of The Bible Church of Little Rock where she served faithfully leading Good News Clubs and Vacation Bible School. She was well known for her delicious country home cooking especially her pies and desserts at church potlucks and picnics. The family would like to thank the staff of Arkansas Hospice for their loving and professional care over the last few months. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock 501-661-9111. Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pine Crest Memorial Park in Alexander. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Bible Church of Little Rock Undesignated Missionary Fund.
