JUDIE D. BURLIE, 71, of Alexander passed away on Friday, Sept. 14. She was born on Feb. 22, 1941 to the late Eugene E. and Dorethea (Amelong) Gulledge in Oklahoma City, Okla. She married John Burlie, the love of her life over 53 years ago. Grandma B, as her grandkids called her, spent her life making a home for her family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and quiliting. She treasured the time she spent with her family. Judie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Avila. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, John; her son, John; her daughters, Janet Hill and Jeanne (Nathan) Adams; her sister, Betty (Bob) Kristensen; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Richard) Campbell, Jay Hill, Tabitha (Jason) McCoy, Christopher (Summer) Burlie, Jonah Adams and Miranda Adams; her great-grandchildren, Gage Campbell, Brianna McCoy and Emily McCoy and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss her dearly. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander with Brother Larry Ballard officiating. The family will gather at the home of Janet Hill following the graveside service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Saline Memorial Hospice to honor the loving care they gave to Mrs. Judie.
