Robert "Bobby" Warren Gates, 50, died unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. He was born on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 1962 in Conway, to Charles and Sue (White) Gates. He was a graduate of Conway High school and earned a bachelors and masters degree from the University of Central Arkansas. He served as a UCA police officer for several years prior to taking a position with Stanley Black and Decker. At the time of his death he was Senior National Account Manager of Stanley Security Solutions. He served Faulkner County as a Deputy Coroner for 25 years. He was a licensed EMT- Intermediate and instructor for over 30 years. Mr. Gates was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Little Rock. He was a member of Prine Sport Club in East Lake, Ark., and an avid duck hunter. He is survived by his wife Suzanne (Rossi) Gates; his beloved dog, Katie; previously mentioned parents; brother, Ronnie Gates; nephew, Luke Gates all of Conway; father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Vernelle Rossi; brother- and sister-in-law Michael and Pam Rossi; and nieces, Rachel and Rebecca Rossi all of Little Rock. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Carl and Jewel (Fortner) White and Howard and Eloise Gates. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Christian Home, P.O. Box 649, Morrilton, Ark. 72110 or to Pleasant Valley Church of Christ for Missionaries Nathan and Sara Zinck of Niteroi, Brazil. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, in the chapel of Roller- McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with Chuck Monan officiating.
