Fred Caesar Storm, 95, died in his home Monday, September 17th, 2012. He was born in Little Rock January 20th, 1917 to Guy and Nettie (Edwards) Storm, and was the first Caesarian birth in Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Charles Stephen Storm, and the mother of his son, Geraldine (Baird) Storm. He is survived by his wife of almost 54 years, Daphna Lewis Storm; his daughters, Cecily Storm of Galveston, Texas, and Martha Garrison (Dale) of Franklin, Tenn., Linda Storm, daugther-in-law (Stephen Storm) and stepsons, David Goss, and Steve Goss (Janice) of Hot Springs, Ark.; 11 grandchildren: Beth Anne Storm Rule, Susan Storm Lynch, Guy Storm, Alison Delk, Austen Delk, Brad Goss, Leslie Janssen, Justin Garrison, Rob Goss and Fontaine Goss, and Jamie Goss; and 10 great-grandchildren. Fred was a member of the First Methodist Church of north Little Rock. He proudly served in WWII, and was a Lt. Colonel in the Army, where he served in the National Guard for over 25 years. He was a chemist, a CPA, a business man and a true leader in his community. He was the President of the Better Business Bureau for the state of Arkansas and the manager of the Chamber of Commerce in NLR. He served on the NLR school board for 16 years where he had a term or two as President there and with the State and Regional School Boards. He was also the Treasurer of the Arkansas Advertising Federation. Fred Storm was a visionary in business and education. His legacy will live on with the Storm Plan he created to bring equilibrium to the NLR school district. Most importantly he was an optimist and attended meetings even this spring. His great sense of humor and love for his wife and family were admirable. Visitation will be at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, (501-791-7400) on JFK from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday evening and the funeral will be at the First Methodist Church in NLR on JFK at 2 p.m. on Thursday.
