Louise Galloway May, age 97, of Warren, Ark. died Tuesday September 18, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. Born on May 2, 1915 in Rison, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late William Edward Galloway and Samantha Nichols Galloway. She was the youngest of their seven children. Mrs. May was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William Doyle May, who died September 26, 1995. She was married November 13, 1937. Also, preceding her in death were her sisters Onie Galloway Edmiston, Ollie Galloway Kendall, and one infant sister. Her brothers were William Roy Galloway, Joe Mack Galloway, and Hugh Edward Galloway, and two sons-in-law, William Charles Jolley and Johnny Ralph Barnes. Louise is survived by two daughters, Phyllis May Barnes, of Warren, Ark. and Lynn May (Bill) Landers, of El Dorado, Ark. She had five grandchildren, William Michael (Tamara) Jolley, Kimberly Jolley (Tony) Cathey, Allison Landers (Dennington) Moss, Andrea Landers (Justin) Huntley and William Jeffrey Landers. She had 10 great-grandchildren, Justin Dale (Sarah) Smith, Megan Jones (Nick) Holloway, Seth Michael Jolley, William Landon Jolley, Gardner Landers Moss, Ella Clayton Moss, Hadley Dennington Moss, Mary Hayden Huntley, Georgia Scott Huntley, and Champlin Clark Huntley. There are also two great-great-grandchildren Josie Elise Smith and Justin Cole Smith. Mr. and Mrs. May lived in Warren until 1965 when Mr. May became manager of Calion Lumber Company. They moved to El Dorado during this time and back to Warren in 1993. During their years in El Dorado they were members of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Louise Enjoyed playing bridge in two different clubs. She was a long time member of the Warren Garden Club, the United Methodist Women, and the Bradley County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She and her husband were members of the First United Methodist Church in Warren. She enjoyed being called "Grandmommy May" by all her grands, great's, and great-great's. Funeral services 2 p.m., Thursday, September 20th at Frazer's Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Maskell officiating. Burial in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home.
