James Watts

James William Watts, age 75, of Benton, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012. He was born August 27, 1937 in Benton, Arkansas Mr. Watts was retired from Alcoa, served in the National Guard and was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Lennis Watts; first wife, Joetta Henderson Watts; daughter, Carol Lynn; grandson, Nicholas Hyde and a sister, Doris Keesee. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, June Watts; three daughters, Denise Young (Jerry), Carol Childs (Eddie) and Linda Hyde; two brothers, Ambrose Watts (Laurie) and Larry Watts (Pam); sister, Hazel Drennan (Gene); brother-in-law, Marvin Keesee; four grandchildren, Lauren Hyde, Cody Childs, Will Gardner and Brian Young and a host of extended family members. Pallbearers will be Mark Gibson, Kevin Drennan, Randy Keesee, Rusty Keesee, Brett Watts, Bart Watts, Jason Watts and Derek Watts. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, September 23 at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Monday, September 24 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Old Rosemont Cemetery.
