Clark Edward Etheridge

CW3 CLARK EDWARD ETHERIDGE, U.S. Army (Ret), 69, of Little Rock died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012. He was born Nov. 26, 1942 in Harrison to Lois Griever Etheridge and the late Jubal Early Etheridge. Mr. Etheridge served his country as a helicopter pilot in the U. S. Army and served two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded many metals and decorations including the Bronze Star and the Distinguished Flying Cross. After his military career, Mr. Etheridge continued to fly, owning his own company and was a pilot for Arkansas Children's Hospital as well as local law enforcement agencies. Mr. Etheridge was instrumental in implementing the Friday Night Flights program for local news station Channel 4. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife in their RV. He was a fun loving person with a great personality who never met a stranger. Mr. Etheridge is survived by his wife, Patricia Humphries Etheridge of Little Rock; three children, Clark E. Etheridge II (Rebecca) of Lyon, Miss., Alana E. Payne (Derek) of Corpus Christy, Texas, Aaron Lawrence Etheridge (Tammy) of Cabot as well as two step sons, Alan Quick (Robin) of Dardanelle and Jim Quick (Cindy) of Sheridan. Mr. Etheridge is also survived by his mother, Lois Griever Etheridge of North Little Rock; one sister, Mary Lynn Knight of Wright; one brother, Lewis Etheridge of Forrest City; two uncles, Calvin Buddy Griever of Hamburg and Elmer Griever of Harrison; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Reverend Elmer Griever officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday.
