Ruth Arlene Mozley

RUTH ARLENE MOZLEY passed away peacefully on Sept. 20, 2012 in Memphis, Tenn., two weeks short of her 96th. Birthday. Born Oct. 7, 1916 in Marion, Ill. to Rufus and Etta Hutslar, she was preceded in death by W.F. (Bill) Mozley, her husband of 49 years; both of her parents; brothers, T.E. Hutslar and Martin Hutslar; sisters, Janivee Tolar and Hope Owens; and stepdaughter Ann Cuen. She is survived by a brother, Guy Hutslar (Clara); stepdaughters, Lou Dillard (Joe) and Bobbie Mozley; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Mozley was a devoted Christian and a member of the Sylvan Hills Church of Christ. She and her husband Bill were actively engaged in the automobile business for many years on East Broadway in North Little Rock. Mrs. Mozley's greatest effort and joy in life was helping family members and others to overcome adversities and to become more productive members of society. There are many who are grateful for her numerous acts of generosity and kindness. Although plagued by the unavoidable issues experienced by all older people, Mrs. Mozley was a staunchly determined individual and remained so until to the moment of her death. Her kind is not likely to be seen again soon. A special respect and gratitude must go to nieces Joy Force and Ruth McMahon for their outstanding devotion and care for Mrs. Mozley, especially over the past year, and who were at her side when she died. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
