Peggy Joyce Harrell

Peggy Joyce Harrell, 73, of Camden, Ark., passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at her residence. Peggy was a private pilot, an avid scuba diver and loved to travel. Peggy is survived by her husband, Searcy W. Harrell Jr. of Camden, Ark., and two daughters, Shannon Harrell Beard of McKinney, Texas and Roxanne Nevels Powell of Camden, Ark. She left four grandchildren, Bridgette Beard, Brooke Beard, Kristi Canada and Melanie Canada; one great-grandchild, Micah Kidd; three stepsons, Steven Harrell of Springfield, Mo., Jonathan Harrell and Bennett Harrell of Rogers, Ark. Peggy had eight step-grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan, Carter, Tyler, Max, Mackenzie, Jack and Jett all of whom she considered as her own and who called her Mimi. Peggy was further survived by a brother, Wayne Everett of Camden, Ark., a brother, Cecil Everett of Navarre, Fla.; and a sister, Pat Hickman of Navarre, Fla. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until service time. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Sept., 24, 2012, at Proctor Funeral Home.
