Wilma Estes Jennings

Wilma Faye Jennings of North Little Rock, Arkansas was born at home on June 19, 1930 on a farm between Melbourne and Calico Rock, Arkansas to Omer and Pearl Estes. Sadly, on September 22, 2012 she lost her life after a month-long illness. She was the kid sister of two brothers, C.H and Kenneth Estes, whom she adored and who preceded her in death by a number of years. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, GFD "Dalton" Jennings, two sons, Jay Jennings and Danton Jennings, two daughters, Janna Virden (Bart) and Deborah Pallone (John), seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews. A truly good and loyal woman, Wilma was devoted to her husband, stood by her children, and liked nothing more than doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was raised on a farm near Calico Rock, where she also went to school. While there, she made lifelong friends with whom she still kept in contact, even after leaving with her husband (and officer in the United States Air Force) to travel the world. She lived in Puerto Rico, Japan, Turkey and Montgomery, Alabama before returning to live for the last 42 years in North Little Rock. Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 26 at 11 a.m. at the Calico Rock Funeral Chapel in Calico Rock, Arkansas. Burial will be at Wise's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock, Arkansas. Visitation will began at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26 at the funeral home.
