Vernelle Wornock Rossi

Vernelle Wornock Rossi, 79, of Little Rock, died on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. She was born on December 10, 1932 in Austin, AR to late Jeff D. and Ethel Wornock. She was a 1950 graduate of LR High School (Central High), and attended Harding College in Searcy. Also, she was a charter member of Pulaski Heights/Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. Mrs. Rossi is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert E Rossi; daughter, Suzanne Rossi Gates of Conway, son Michael R. (Pamala Peachey) Rossi; granddaughters: Rachel and Rebecca Rossi; brother Arnold "Buddy" (Gay) Wornock; sister Dolores DuVall all of Little Rock; brother, Don Wornock of Texarkana; sister, Joy (Cliff) Powell of Hot Springs; brother-in-law, Joseph A. (Inez) Rossi of Little Rock; and nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Robert "Bob" Gates; sister-in-law, Jan Wornock; brother-in-law, Norman DuVall and nephew, Darrell DuVall. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2012 at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ with Chuck Monan and Nick Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 6-8 p.m., at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home 13801 Chenal Parkway in Little Rock (501) 224-8300.
