Shelby Fay Dawkins

Shelby Fay Dawkins age 76, died at her home in Higginson Wednesday, September 26, 2012. She was born February 9, 1936, the daughter of Stillman and Eva Pearson Hollingsworth, in Pickens County, Alabama. Mrs. Dawkins was the widow of Clyde Dawkins and a member of the Higginson Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Jerry Dawkins and a brother, Jerry Hollingsworth. Surviving are sons; Terry Dawkins and his wife Jennifer, David Dawkins of Searcy and a daughter; Eva Boyles and her husband Roger of Higginson. Brothers; Douglas, Don, and Bill Hollingsworth all of Alabama. Sisters; Pat Hollingworth, Higginson, Betty Owens, Foley, Alabama and Jeanette Nowell, Kosciusko, Mississippi; grandchildren; Courtney Boyles, Nathan Boyles, Jordyn Dawkins and Evans Dawkins. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with interment at White County Memorial Gardens.
