Lestel Standridge, age 82, of Mount Ida, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012, in Mount Ida. She was born May 20, 1930, in Washita, the daughter of Bert and Jessie Blair Danley. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Standridge; one brother and sister-in-law, Morris and Lillian Danley; one sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Jack Graham; one brother, Bert Danley, Jr.; two brothers-in-law, Afton Bradshaw and Fred Standridge; and one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Maunta and Cecil Stroope. She was a charter member of Lake Ouachita Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother and granny and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Harold Standridge of Mount Ida; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Debbie Standridge of Mount Ida and Philip and Kaye Standridge of Mount Ida; seven grandchildren, Alisha and John Pollock of Mount Ida, Jared and Lacey Standridge of Dennard, Cody and Amanda Standridge of Farmington and Amber Standridge of Maumelle; five great-grandchildren, Sydney, Sam and Shelby Standridge of Dennard and Allie and Averie Pollock, of Mount Ida; one brother and sister-in-law, Owen and Zaylene Danley of Mount Ida; three sisters-in-law, Marilyn Danley of Siloam Springs, Myrtle Bradshaw of Wynne and Lois Standridge of Mount Ida; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jocelyn and James Ford of Russellville; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends. Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, in Lake Ouachita Baptist Church with Bro. Roy Brooks and Bro. Ty Huitt officiating. Interment will be in the Stanley-Standridge Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood. Pallbearers will be Alisha and John Pollock, Jared and Lacey Standridge, Cody and Amanda Standridge, Amber Standridge and Rodney Standridge. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the wonderful nurses and staff of the Montgomery County Nursing Home, who took wonderful care of "Granny Lestel" and her Lake Ouachita Baptist Church family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lake Ouachita Baptist Church Building Fund, 3586 Hwy. 270 East, Mount Ida, Arkansas, 71957, the Stanley-Standridge Cemetery Association or to a charity of your choice.
