Don Eugene Goza passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Don was born in Beaumont, Texas, September 28, 1925 to Bernice and Holcomb Goza. Don proudly served his country in the Pacific Theater in the Navy during World War II. He attended Lamar College, Beaumont, Texas and the University of the Americas in Puebla, Mexico; Don often recalled fond memories of his years in Mexico playing university football. After 30 years of teaching and coaching in high school, Don retired to spend more time fishing, especially in Galveston Bay. Don is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Billie L. Goza; children: Jill Pickle (Bob); Donna Silver; Helen Hinkle (Allen); and Kent Ivers Goza; stepchildren: Denis Lomax (Sue); Diana Geisler (Tad); Cecelia Sutphen (Jim); Butch Lomax (Becky); and Kimberley Graves (Gene); grandchildren: Brandi Byrd (Andy); Tracy Virdin; Lindsey Silver; Emily Geisler Riks; Chris Sutphen (Jessica); Seth Willis; Tim Sutphen (Mandy); Will Geisler (Laura); Katie Rhea Willis; Alexandra Lomax and Walt Lomax; and six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 310 West 17th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas.
