Marion Davis "Dave" Elkin

Marion Davis ‘Dave' Elkin passed away on July 31, 2013, after an extensive battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was living in the Searcy Healthcare Center in Searcy, Ark. at the time of his death. Dave was born in Winona, Miss, on March 17, 1937 to Cloe and Herman Elkin. He was 76 years old. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Rogers Elkin of England Ark.; daughter Elizabeth Lowery Vickers and son-in-law Johnny Vickers of Stuttgart, Ark.; daughter Carol Kay Etzkorn and son-in-law James Allen Etzkorn of LaPorte, Colo.; granddaughter Stacey Nicole Etzkorn of LaPorte, Colo.; granddaughter Lindsey Kay Etzkorn of Lebanon, Mo. and grandson Cory Davis Johnson of Fayetteville, Ark. Dave was a wonderful and loving husband, father, Poppa and friend to us all. We will always remember Dave by his clever sayings and his calm and faithful demeanor. We will miss him in this world but we know he has moved on to a much better place. In lieu of flowers; a memorial is being set up under Dave's name to help fight this difficult disease and someday find a cure for Alzheimer's.
