Lena Belle Hodges

Lena Belle Reedy Hodges, 90, of Quitman, Ark., passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Southridge Village Nursing and Rehab Center in Heber Springs. Born in Quitman on June 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Bessie (Johnston) Reedy. She was a homemaker and member of Howard General Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hodges; son, Lois Earl Hodges; daughter, Shirley Kay Kennedy; five brothers, Otis, Alfred, Luther, Lonnie, and Carlton Reedy; and two sisters, Stella Leach and Irene Henry. Survived by four children, Bill Hodges (Linda), Earlene Smith (Edwin) of Quitman, Betty Wiedower (Sonny) of Guy, and Jeanette Wright (Joe) of Greers Ferry; daughter-in-law, Nina Hodges of Crossett; son-in-law, Joe Kennedy of Quitman; 21 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Wanda Nichols of Kensett, numerous relatives and friends. Visitation Sunday, Olmstead Funeral Home, 6-8 p.m. Funeral services Monday, Howard General Baptist Church, 10 a.m. with Rev. Joe L. Kennedy and Rev. Terry Mote officiating. Interment in Center Point Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steve Wiedower, Brian Wiedower, Kenny Wiedower, Tim Shue, Lance Smith, Brandon Smith, Byron Smith, and Joey Kennedy. www.olmstead.cc.
